After losing to Notre Dame Academy the last time they met, Holy Spirit Prep decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Irish Wolfhounds on Thursday.

Holy Spirit Prep was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 25-18.

Modupe Brown paced Holy Spirit Prep's offense, picking up nine kills. Brown got some help from Ariana Lajara and her ten assists. Brown also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Crystalin Harrison, racking up seven apiece.

The win got Holy Spirit Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Notre Dame Academy, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Holy Spirit Prep has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Harvester Christian Academy on the 16th. As for Notre Dame Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Fulton Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
