Basketball Recap: Lutheran East Takes a Loss

Lutheran East has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked tenth).

Lutheran East's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lutheran East has already played their next contest (against St. Joseph Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Vincent-St. Mary will face off against Dublin Jerome at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
