Football Recap: Snake River Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Snake River played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 37-7 defeat at the hands of the Sugar-Salem Diggers. The Panthers have struggled against the Diggers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Frank Fillmore had an outrageously good game for Sugar-Salem as he threw for 209 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 48 yards and one touchdown. What's more, Fillmore racked up 145.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Sugar-Salem's leading receiver Ace Clark was Fillmore's top target yet again, picking up 85 receiving yards and one score.

Snake River's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sugar-Salem, the win was the eighth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Snake River will take on Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Sugar-Salem, they will face off against Shelley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
