Marcellus had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 26-7 margin over the Comstock Colts. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Hannah Sharp, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Ariah Evans was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs.

Marcellus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.

Marcellus now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Comstock, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marcellus beat the Colts by a score of 29-0 later that day.
