Football Recap: Muldrow Wins Going Away Against Waldron

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Muldrow blew past Waldron 46-22. That's more bragging rights for Muldrow, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Deshawn Wilson had a dynamite game, rushing for 137 yards and one TD on only ten carries. DeMonie Brock also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Muldrow was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 325 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Muldrow's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In that department, EJ Zanders was the leader with two sacks. Muldrow got some further help from Patrick Nance: he made 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

Muldrow's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Waldron, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Muldrow will be playing in front of their home fans against Spiro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waldron, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ozark at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The matchup will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
