Marcellus and Stillwater squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly Marcellus had to settle for second. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stillwater Warriors. Marcellus' defeat signaled the end of their 16-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Marcellus still got an impressive performance from Will Burnett, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Burnett has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Codey Kociela was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Marcellus' loss dropped their record down to 25-2. As for Stillwater, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-1.
