Baseball Recap: Aztec Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bloomfield typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Aztec proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Bobcats. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Bloomfield's batters probably weren't too happy with Cadin Anderson, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (he gave up zero walks). Anderson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Aztec pushed their record up to 10-13 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bloomfield, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 17-5 record.
