Calvary Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on January 6th. They claimed a resounding 43-10 win over East Dayton Christian on the road. That looming 43-10 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Calvary Christian yet this season.
Upper Scioto Valley suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2023 on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 72-49 defeat at the hands of Arlington. Upper Scioto Valley has struggled against Arlington recently, as their contest on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Layla Hunsicker, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Lowery, who scored 13 points.
Calvary Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
