Basketball Recap: Rogers Has No Trouble Against Yelm

Rogers lost to Yelm back in November of 2015, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Rogers Rams took down the Yelm Tornados 71-52. The contest marked the Rams' most dominant win of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rogers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Gilderhus, who went 6 of 10 en route to 17 points along with seven assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Gilderhus a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamaire Grant, who posted 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Rogers is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.9 points per game. As for Yelm, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Rogers will take on Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rogers is facing Bethel at the right time seeing as Bethel is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Yelm, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sumner at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Sumner's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.
