Elsberry won the last time they faced North Callaway and things went their way on Friday too. The Elsberry Indians came out on top against the North Callaway Thunderbirds by a score of 71-62. The win was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on four straight.
Despite the defeat, North Callaway saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jamarion Glover dropped a double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds. That's the most boards Glover has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Brown, who had ten points.
Elsberry's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for North Callaway, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elsberry will square off against Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elsberry knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Bowling Green likes a good challenge. As for North Callaway, they will challenge Wright City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
