Volleyball Recap: Napoleon Comes Up Short

Napoleon lost against Perrysburg back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Yellow Jackets, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-11.

Baylee Lamming paced Napoleon's offense, picking up four kills. Lamming got some help from Ava Good and her nine assists. Good was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Perrysburg had a senior duo take command as Ali Cherry had 13 digs and two aces and Abigail Bartolo had 13 digs and one assist. Cherry is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Napoleon's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Perrysburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Napoleon has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Bryan on the 23rd. As for Perrysburg, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Anthony Wayne at 5:45 p.m.
