Softball Game Preview: Leicester Wolverines vs. Grafton Gators

Leicester is 0-8 against Grafton since May of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Wolverines will host the Gators at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Leicester made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Quabbin Regional, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolverines fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 13-11 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Grafton's offense. They came up short against Uxbridge on Friday, falling 6-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Gators were not able to get on the board.

Leicester now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Grafton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Leicester might still be hurting after the 16-2 loss they got from Grafton when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
