Basketball Recap: Cuero Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Cuero was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gonzales Apaches. The Gobblers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Apaches earlier this season, when they won 58-53.

Cuero's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-8. As for Gonzales, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-17 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cuero has already played their next matchup (against San Antonio Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gonzales has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against John F. Kennedy.
