Basketball Game Preview: Destin Sharks vs. Central Jaguars

Two dominant guards in Calix McCune and Carson Baxley are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Destin Sharks will take on the Central Jaguars in a tournament on Friday. Destin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.1 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Destin earned a 53-45 win over West Florida.

Destin found their leader in sophomore McCune, who posted 21 points and five rebounds. Xavier Crawford was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 50-37 victory over Flomaton on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Destin's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Central, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Destin took their win against Central in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 52-32. Does Destin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
