Basketball Game Preview: Christian Community Warriors vs. First Baptist Christian Sabres

Christian Community is 2-7 against First Baptist Christian since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Christian Community Warriors will welcome the First Baptist Christian Sabres at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Christian Community lost to Open Door Christian on the road by a 51-32 margin. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lyla Miller put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted nine points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, First Baptist Christian's undefeated season came to an end after six games on Tuesday. They fell to Open Door Christian 36-31. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Sabres came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Patriots are ranked 663rd).

Christian Community now has a losing record at 6-7. As for First Baptist Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
