Lincoln North Star got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Castor out in front who posted 12 points along with eight boards and seven assists. That's the most rebounds Castor has posted since back in January. J'Shawn Afuh was another key player, shooting 60% from the field on his way to 16 points.

Meanwhile, Millard North faced Omaha Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 47-37. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Lincoln North Star's record now sits at 4-1. As for Millard North, their record is now 5-1.

Lincoln North Star came out on top in a nail-biter against Millard North when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 48-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Navigators since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
