Basketball Recap: Mundy's Mill Takes a Loss

Mundy's Mill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 65-19 loss at the hands of the Starr's Mill Panthers. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Starr's Mill found their leader in sophomore Lindsey Kopacek, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Kopacek a new career-high in blocks (five). Another player making a difference was Sophia Olson, who posted five points in addition to eight assists and eight boards.

Mundy's Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Starr's Mill, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Starr's Mill beat Mundy's Mill by a score of 49-20 on Tuesday.
