Softball Recap: James River's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

James River lost against Floyd County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 4-3. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, James River fell to 4-1. As for Floyd County, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. James River will square off against Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Floyd County, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Fleming at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Buffaloes are facing the Colonels at the right time seeing as the Colonels are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
