Baseball Recap: Galena Comes Up Short

Galena lost against Byron back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates came up short against the Tigers, falling 17-2.

Galena's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3. As for Byron, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Galena is taking a road trip to face off against Morrison at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Byron, they will welcome Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
