Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Galesburg). They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Reed-Custer Comets on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Alex Ritchie looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Galesburg got a massive performance out of Caleb Claeys, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Claeys a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Dickerson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
