Volleyball Game Preview: Cloverdale Clovers vs. Clay City Eels

Cloverdale hasn't had much luck against Clay City recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Clovers will square off against the Eels at 6:00 p.m.

Cloverdale came up short against Sullivan on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Cloverdale was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Sullivan work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 26-24, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Clay City sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Eastern Greene on Tuesday.

Clay City was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Cloverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Clay City, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12.

Cloverdale couldn't quite get it done against Clay City when the teams last played back in August as they fell 3-1. Can the Clovers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
