Speedway came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Lebanon, but Wesley Byrd wouldn't allow it. The Lebanon Tigers strolled past the Speedway Sparkplugs with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 69-51 thanks in part to Byrd, who went 9-for-11 en route to 24 points and three steals. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Colin Fouts, who posted six points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Speedway still got an impressive performance from Drew Matelic, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. That was a full 41.2% of Speedway's points, marking the third time in a row Matelic has earned more than a third of the team's points. Marcus Ray also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Lebanon has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points over those games. As for Speedway, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Lebanon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-56 defeat against Christel House on the 14th. As for Speedway, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 84-72 loss against Bethesda Christian on the 11th.
