Baseball Recap: Freeman Comes Up Short

Freeman has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.54 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They fell just short of the Collegiate Cougars by a score of 10-8. That makes it the first time this season the Mavericks have let down their home crowd.

Freeman's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Collegiate, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7.

Coming up, Freeman will take on Godwin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Collegiate, they will challenge Woodberry Forest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
