Volleyball Recap: Dover Comes Up Short

Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Vernon Vikings. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Dover had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20.

Dover's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Vernon, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dover will square off against Randolph at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Vernon, they will challenge Voorhees at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
