Basketball Recap: Logansport Takes a Loss

Logansport played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 39-8 loss at the hands of the Tipton Blue Devils. The Berries were down 37-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Lily Clem and Kali Messer, who each put up three points. Clem also led the team in rebounds with 11.

Mackenzie Farinella was the offensive standout of the game as she went 5-for-9 on her way to 13 points and six boards. She has also also been stellar as far as three-point shooting accuracy is concerned: she's posted one of at least 50% every time she's hit the court this season. Makayla Schinlaub was another key player, putting up five points and seven steals.

Logansport dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tipton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Logansport will take on Wabash at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tipton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 38-37 victory against Northwestern on the 18th.
