Baseball Recap: Waccamaw Warriors vs. Philip Simmons Iron Horses
While Waccamaw's win against Philip Simmons wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors won by a run and slipped past the Iron Horses 4-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Ben Rodenbeck made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
