Basketball Recap: Afton's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Afton had won two straight games and Aiden Victor did his part to make it three on Friday. The Afton Eagles came out on top against the Cave Springs Hornets by a score of 52-40 thanks in part to Victor, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Afton's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ricky Barton, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played.

Afton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Cave Springs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Afton has already played their next contest (against St. Paul), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cave Springs will face off against Watts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
