Football Recap: King George Comes Up Short

King George managed to slip by Eastern View the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Foxes were dealt a 40-6 defeat at the hands of the Cyclones on Friday. The matchup was a close 7-6 at the break, but unfortunately for the Foxes it sure didn't stay that way.

King George's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Eastern View, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, King George will head out to face off against Caroline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers' defense has only allowed 11.1 points per game this season, so the Foxes' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Eastern View, they will welcome Chancellor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cyclones will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
