Basketball Recap: Lincoln Northwest Takes a Loss

Lincoln Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Norris Titans 95-49. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-33.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaymi White-Soto, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 14 points. The dominant performance also gave White-Soto a new career-high in field goal percentage (71%). Roman Stepanyuk was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Norris' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Garner Jr., who went 10-for-12 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Garner Jr. is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Barret Boesiger, who went 6-for-8 en route to 19 points.

Lincoln Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Norris, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-2.
