Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Glenelg walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Calvert Cavaliers on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Gladiators sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Leading Glenelg to victory were Sara Kwon and Abigail Nirola. Kwon had 15 digs, while Nirola had five aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Glenelg was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces in five consecutive matches.
Glenelg's record is now 14-5. As for Calvert, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-3.
As of now, neither Glenelg nor the Cavaliers have any future games scheduled.
