Basketball Recap: Huron Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Huron hadn't done well against Watertown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Huron Tigers secured a 57-52 W over the Watertown Arrows. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Arrows are ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Huron has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Watertown has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huron will square off against O'Gorman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Huron's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests. As for Watertown, they will challenge Harrisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harrisburg will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Watertown surely won't give up without a fight.
