Basketball Recap: Libertyville Comes Up Short

Libertyville lost against Lake Forest back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Libertyville Wildcats took a 39-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Forest Scouts. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Libertyville's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Lake Forest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Libertyville and Lake Forest should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Libertyville (ranked 87th) will meet Grayslake Central (ranked 206th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Lake Forest will challenge Mundelein at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 206 places (66 vs. 272).
