Volleyball Recap: Canton's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Canton came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Kemp Yellowjackets as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Canton took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-9, 25-13.

Canton was led to victory by Mallory Alexander and Peyton Goodon. Alexander had five aces and three digs, while Goodon had six digs and three aces. Those five aces gave Alexander a new career-high.

Canton's victory bumped their record up to 24-13. As for Kemp, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Canton is set to face off against their familiar foe Brownsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kemp will take on rival Lindale at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
