Football Recap: Las Lomas Knights vs. Benicia Panthers
Las Lomas never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Benicia Panthers, posting a 35-0 victory at home. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Panthers are ranked 468th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Roman Mercado had a dynamite game for Las Lomas, picking up 199 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Mercado's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Thomas, who threw for 335 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt.

Las Lomas will head out on the road to square off against Tamalpais at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Las Lomas is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Benicia, they will take on Destiny Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Destiny Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 115 points over their last three matches.
