The result was an unpleasant reminder to Blue Ridge Early College of the 61-43 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Blue Ridge Early College still got an impressive performance from Eric Puskarich, who scored 23 points. That was a full 62.2% of Blue Ridge Early College's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ethan Henson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Blue Ridge Early College has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Highlands, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-16.
