Baseball Recap: Heritage Academy Wins Going Away Against Cumberland Valley Christian

After only two runs in their last contest, Heritage Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Cumberland Valley Christian on Monday. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Blazers. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Blazers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Noah Poe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Heritage Academy is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-8 otherwise. Poe was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Micah Wilson was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jonah Croteau, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Heritage Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win got Heritage Academy back to even at 8-8. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season.
