Baseball Recap: Hanover Area Comes Up Short

Hanover Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawkeyes of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Hanover Area saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conor Richardson, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Hanover Area's record now sits at 2-14. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanover Area will venture away from home to face off against Holy Redeemer at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, they will head out to square off against Crestwood at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
