Red Mesa had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 62-50 to the Pinon Eagles. The Redskins have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Red Mesa lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jacoby Begaye, who posted 11 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.
