Volleyball Recap: South County Comes Up Short

South County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Lincolnwood Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vipers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

South County was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lincolnwood work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16.

South County's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lincolnwood, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-5 record.

Coming up, South County will face off against Greenfield/Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincolnwood, they will venture away from home to square off against Valmeyer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
