Volleyball Recap: Pontotoc Comes Up Short

Pontotoc was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Walnut Wildcats. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Pontotoc now has a losing record of 10-11-1. As for Walnut, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2-1 record this season.

Pontotoc has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Alcorn Central on the 13th. As for Walnut, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hernando on the 13th.
