Baseball Recap: Buffalo Island Central Comes Up Short

Buffalo Island Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Walnut Ridge Bobcats. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2016.

Buffalo Island Central now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Walnut Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Coming up, Buffalo Island Central will take on Harrisburg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Walnut Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-1 victory against Hoxie on the 21st.
