The Seminole Ridge Hawks will challenge the Olympic Heights Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Seminole Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Seminole Ridge fell victim to Palm Beach Central and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Hawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Justin Precanico was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.

Meanwhile, Olympic Heights had to endure a 16-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over American Heritage on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since April 3, 2024.

Ryan Kessner tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.

At the plate, Olympic Heights' win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was David Otero, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Seminole Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Olympic Heights, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-12.
