Volleyball Recap: Wisconsin Heights Takes a Loss

Wisconsin Heights was the 3-1 winner over New Glarus when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Vanguards fell just short of the Glarner Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Vanguards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Wisconsin Heights sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-21, 21-25, 15-7.

Lauren Smith paced Wisconsin Heights' offense, picking up eight kills. Smith got some help from Amelia Blicharz and her nine assists. Izzy Sutherland controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Wisconsin Heights' loss dropped their record down to 11-23. As for New Glarus, their victory ended a ten-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-20.

Wisconsin Heights wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Turner on the 18th. As for New Glarus, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Shiocton on the 18th.
