Baseball Recap: Hazard's Loss Ends 12-Game Winning Streak at Home

Hazard blew Floyd Central out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Floyd Central got their revenge. The Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs have suffered since May 31, 2024.

Talon Goins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Clint Davidson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Hazard's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-3. As for Floyd Central, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-12.

Coming up, Hazard will face off against South Warren at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Floyd Central, they will square off against Perry County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
