Baseball Recap: Dixie County Beats Bell for Their Third Straight Victory

Dixie County waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Bell Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on March 7th, they had to take a 10-6 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Joel Lord, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Dixie County's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Bell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dixie County will challenge Taylor County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bell, they will take on Cedar Key at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
