Soccer Recap: Greeley West Comes Up Short

The Greeley West Spartans came up short against the Longmont Trojans on Tuesday and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Greeley West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Longmont are ranked 47th).

Greeley West's goal came courtesy of Osiris Padilla Sanchez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Greeley West now has a losing record of 2-3-3. As for Longmont, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1-1.

Greeley West has already played their next contest, a 4-1 defeat against Fort Collins on the 27th. As for Longmont, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Horizon on the 25th.
