Volleyball Recap: Copper Hills Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Copper Hills posted their closest victory since September 4th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Cedar Valley Aviators 3-2. The Grizzlies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Aviators, too.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Copper Hills who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 18-25, 25-15, 18-25, 15-7.

Lindsey Whittaker paced Copper Hills' offense, picking up 12 kills. Whittaker got some help from Paige Jensen and her 33 assists.

Copper Hills' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Cedar Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Copper Hills and Cedar Valley will both be playing Mountain Ridge the next time they take the court. The Grizzlies will host the Sentinels at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Aviators will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
