Recap: Ardmore Tigers vs. Brewer Patriots
The Ardmore Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 14th straight loss. They were dealt a 57-16 loss at the hands of Brewer. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ardmore has scored all season.
Brewer was led to victory by Jackson Dunn and Cam Ballinger. Dunn scored 11 points along with seven rebounds, while Ballinger scored ten points along with three steals. The contest was Dunn's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Austyn Holmes was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven assists.
Ardmore's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-15. As for Brewer, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season.
Ardmore will head out on the road to face off against Madison Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ardmore in Alabama (Madison Academy is ranked 20th, while Ardmore is ranked 423rd). As for Brewer, they will be playing at home against Lawrence County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
