Softball Recap: Reading Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Reading had won four straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 9-2 to make it five. They blew past the Deer Park Wildcats 15-1. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on MJ Graham, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Meredith Hess, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Reading always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deer Park only posted an OBP of .286.

As for Deer Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

On Deer Park's side, Rachel Walker was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Looking ahead, Reading will take on Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Deer Park, they will square off against Norwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
