Baseball Recap: Wyalusing Valley Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Wyalusing Valley's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Mansfield Tigers on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-4 back in March.

Wyalusing Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Mansfield, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Wyalusing Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-7 win against Williamson on the 22nd. As for Mansfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Wellsboro on the 24th.
